A downloadable game for Windows, Linux, and Android

Fading Crown is an adventure experience with strong metroidvania elements, set during the fall of Constantinople. You play as an Ottoman operative, a member of a secret division tasked with uncovering the city's hidden weaknesses from within.

In this early alpha version, you’ll explore the first five levels, where the foundations of the game begin to take shape. Expect a focus on exploration, environmental storytelling, and fluid parkour mechanics that allow you to move seamlessly through the world.

Text dialogues are available in both English and Spanish, allowing you to experience the story in your preferred language.

Every corner may hide a clue, every path may lead to discovery—but not everything will be revealed just yet. This is a very early version of the game, and many elements are subject to change as development continues.

The rest… you’ll have to figure out yourself.

Fading Crown es una experiencia de aventura con toques de metroidvania, ambientada en la caída de Constantinopla. En el juego encarnas a un otomano, miembro de una división secreta cuya misión es infiltrarse y descubrir las debilidades ocultas de la ciudad.

En esta versión alpha temprana podrás jugar los primeros cinco niveles, donde se establecen las bases de la experiencia. El juego apuesta por la exploración, la narrativa ambiental y un parkour fluido que te permitirá moverte con libertad y naturalidad por el entorno.

Los diálogos de texto están disponibles en inglés y español, para que puedas disfrutar de la historia en el idioma que prefieras.

Cada rincón puede esconder un secreto, cada camino puede llevarte a algo inesperado… pero no todo será revelado todavía. Esta es una versión muy temprana del juego, y muchos elementos pueden cambiar de cara a la versión final.

El resto… lo tienes que adivinar tú.

Install instructions

📱 Android

  1. Download the .zip file to your device.
  2. Extract the .zip file using a file manager (such as Files, ZArchiver, etc.).
  3. Open the extracted folder and locate the “game” folder.
  4. Inside, find the .apk file.
  5. Tap the .apk file to begin installation.
  6. If prompted, enable installation from unknown sources.
  7. Complete the installation and launch the game.

💻 Windows

  1. Download the .zip file.
  2. Right-click the file and select “Extract All…” (or use WinRAR / 7-Zip).
  3. Open the extracted folder.
  4. Enter the “game” folder.
  5. Double-click the .exe installer file.
  6. Follow the on-screen installation steps.
  7. Once installed, launch the game from the desktop shortcut or installation folder.

🐧 Linux 

  1. Download the .zip file.
  2. Extract the .zip file using your file manager, o usando el siguiente comando en la terminal:
    unzip filename.zip
  3. Open the extracted folder.
  4. Enter the “game” folder.
  5. Locate the game executable file.
  6. If the file does not have execution permissions, open a terminal in that folder and write:
    chmod +x filename
  7. Run the game by executing:
    ./filename
